A Cough And A Fever

This hurts and pain is discouraging.

I don’t know what to say here. Right now I want to curl up into a ball and beg someone to take away the pain of this sickness.

People have been so helpful to our family. I can’t imagine how someone would get through this sickness without a support network of people to help them.

I don’t think I have the focus needed to create a good blog post today. I developed a fever and a cough last night and along with it some body aches. It’s not fun. I just want to be done with this. The coughing is brutal.

Little bundtinis from Nothing Bundt Cake, a bakery in St George, UT

I did do something fun yesterday though. One of my sisters-in-law made a comment on Facebook that she’d love it if someone delivered her some cake at the drive-through where she works. I don’t live in her same town, plus COVID, but I went online and found a local bakery that said they would deliver. A couple hours later she got a dozen cupcake-size bundt cakes delivered to her at the drive-through window. It felt so good to be able to pay forward some of the kindness that’s been shown to us lately. Plus it was so nice to focus on something not COVID related.

And now, I am going to spend the rest of the day couch-potatoing. Thank you for your prayers!
