I’m so excited! I’m going to Texas to visit my cousins, who I haven’t seen in YEARS, and my aunt, who moved there last Christmas. I see what my cousins and their wives (mostly their wives) post on the book of faces ๐ and it’s so fun to see them with their kids. I’ve never met their wives and kids in person and they seem like awesome people. I can’t wait to see them!
I don’t know much about what there is to do in McAllen, Texas, but Google seems to have a few ideas. I do hope I will have a chance to just chill and visit with the families, besides exploring the area with my aunt.
Also, I decided at the last minute, to bring my laptop. Hopefully there will be some quiet time that I can work on my book(s). Yes, you read that right. I actually feel like writing again. Trust me, I am more surprised by this than you.
I’m grateful that in this world, while there are people who may hurt us, there are also others who are willing to help us. What a gift from God it is, that we have each other! That we can have help on this journey through life.
So I find myself at 6:00 AM, sitting in the airport, headphones in, listening to Brian Crain Radio on Pandora (because CNN on the overhead – ick), and marveling at the difference one session with my counselor can make. I can only ask, “Lord, how is it done?”
“7 And I said: Lord, how is it done?
8 And he said unto me: Because of thy faith in Christ, whom thou hast never before heard nor seen… ”

I hope that I have a great time in Texas with family, but regardless of how that works out, I know it will be a good trip, simply because a burden has been lifted and I see the world a little differently. I see myself a little differently. I see others differently, too.
Have a blessed day!
Have a blessed and safe trip!
