Trusting Big

I have got to at least pull out my camera. The snow has melted and there must be something interesting to photograph. Maybe tomorrow.

1 Nephi 17

I think sometimes I put limitations on my sense of God’s capability to provide simply because I don’t imagine or trust big enough. That’s an awkward way to put it, but here in this verse we are told that if we are doing what we can to obey God’s commandments, then He will make sure that all our needs are met. I have seen evidence of this in my own life, and yet a part of me is incredulous that it’s truly real. Heavenly Father ALWAYS comes through, and I always find myself asking, how is it possible that He is so profoundly good? It just makes me want to do whatever I can to show Him my gratitude.

3 And thus we see that the commandments of God must be fulfilled. And if it so be that the children of men keep the commandments of God he doth nourish them, and strengthen them, and provide means whereby they can accomplish the thing which he has commanded them; wherefore, he did provide means for us while we did sojourn in the wilderness.”
