I am so excited for this Christmas. #LightTheWorld is a worldwide initiative to shine the light of Christ by serving in the ways that Jesus did. I am always looking for a good thing I can do to honor his birth. This Thursday is December first – a worldwide day of service – with the invitation to continue serving in ways like the Savior every day until Christmas. I think this could be my favorite kind of advent calendar!

“Many small people, who in many small places, do many small things can alter the face of the world.”

The birth of Jesus Christ brought to life the greatest servant mankind has ever known. He asks us to be like him. It doesn’t have to be a big thing you do. A candle can give a bright light in the darkness. A message of thanks, of good cheer, a hug, a smile – just do something to let your light shine and serve to brighten someone’s day.
