Cleansed by the Blood of the Lamb

There is so much to think about it in Elder Bednar’s April 2016 Conference talk. (Always Retain a Remission of Your Sins) I find it makes me want to work harder to be more conscientious about doing the things that will help me to keep the Holy Ghost as my companion. I love the idea that we can live in tune with the Holy Spirit and be able to apply the atonement daily to be able to stand spotless before God. And I love that when we mess things up, we can apply the atonement and Jesus takes away our sin. What a plan!

Although none of us can achieve perfection in this life, we can become increasingly worthy and spotless as we are “cleansed by the blood of the Lamb.”33 I promise and testify we will be blessed with increased faith in the Savior and greater spiritual assurance as we seek to always retain a remission of our sins and, ultimately, to stand spotless before the Lord at the last day. – Elder David A.
