I’m tired. I did the up-and-down-the-stairs thing a lot today. I moved a

bookshelf and I moved the books too. Couldn’t do it all in one trip though (I wish), so -down, up, down, up, down, up………. Also cleaned up a huge mess collected over time.

Now I have a desk area that my kids can’t mess up. (Sorry guys, but all those flash cards and colored pencils and whatever in the computer room aren’t mine.) Granted, I’m not the tidiest person, as evidenced by the “before photo”, but tidy is way harder to maintain when you have four or more other people using the same space.

Here is what I have now:

I still have a little more work to do on the rest of the room, but today was a massive improvement. It’s amazing what you can get done when no one else is around!

The sweatshirt on the back of the chair is my favorite NaNoWriMo sweatshirt. I tend to get cold when I’m writing so I like to keep it handy.
