India will supersede ageing China in Asia: Former Aussie PM.

I read this news article and I have to agree. Mr. Hot Stuff the genius man, has said that the one child policy is slowly robbing China of it’s greatest resource – the people. As China ages, it becomes more and more difficult to hire enough workers to get the jobs done. In less than 20 years, the pinch will get really tight and companies will have to look elsewhere for capable workers. I personally think that the effect on the elderly population and those trying to support it will be just as devastating as the Cultural Revolution was. Given the weakening family structure and the “me first” mentality that is unfortunately prevalent, this is going to create a lot of pain over here.

I hope the U.S. doesn’t fall prey to the same problems, not due to population control policies by the government, but simply by failing to recognize where true value lies and not making people and strong families a priority.
