I’m late to blog today because I’ve been embroidering a tablecloth for the church ladies’ group. Everyone has signed it in pen, and now the names need to be embroidered on. I knew it would be a big job, but right about now I’m wondering what on earth I’ve gotten myself into. I’ve put in about nine hours so far and I’m not even half-way done. I know there are ladies who haven’t signed the cloth yet as well. It’s been interesting though to get a feel for how each person signs her name. I think some of them weren’t thinking of the consequences when they did it because they signed it like a yearbook. That makes for a lot of sewing! Did I mention? I never do this stuff for my own entertainment. I lack the patience to do it well. It’s a situation of it-won’t-finish-itself-while-it sits-on-the-shelf. Pfft. This is what I get for being a former Girl Scout leader. The task falls to the one who knows how. It will look great when it’s done though. I guess that’s one way to leave my mark…
