Times like this, you find out what you’re made of. This staying home business gets old after a while, unless you can find new ways to reach out to friends and loved ones.
Mr. Hot Stuff and I recently started making somewhat silly but serious videos for our grandkids each week that follow along with our church’s weekly scripture study topics. It’s been pretty fun, but let me tell you, it’s a steep learning curve, and I have new respect for people who do vlogs.
This past week one of our sons arranged a jackbox.tv game night using Zoom, and it was SO FUN. It felt so good to laugh, and chatter, and tease, and smile with everyone. I look forward to doing it again.
Crazy dated aside here. Does anyone else remember watching that children’s TV show called Zoom several decades ago? The one that started with a woman yelling, “HEY YOU GUYS!!!” The one with Letterman (not David), the super hero who was stronger than a silent E, and able to leap a capital T in a single bound… Ah well, back to the subject.
Edit: Hey you guys! Was actually The Electric Company show. Thanks to Diane for letting me know. Zoom was the show that always asked you to send them letters at the end. 😊
Last Sunday, Mr. Hot Stuff made brownies simultaneously with some of our grandchildren via FB Messenger video – did I tell you that before? Anyway it was so cute and wonderful to see them.
Bend in the wind, that’s the name of the game these days, right? Find new ways to connect with someone you love, or even only like. 😉 We need each other now, more than ever!

Here are my scripture study pages for this week. See you later!
I’m happy to hear that you received some love from the “outside world.”
