My dad made this rocking horse for my kids when they were small. Now it’s out for another round of kids.
How my life is changing! The surgery to cure my primary hyperparathiroidism was a success. I knew that, but I had no idea how hugely my health had actually been affected by that disease. I don’t think I’ve felt this good since I was in my mid-thirties! That is such a big deal. Every day now, I wake up in the morning, usually pain free (that’s new), and I go out and either run or walk for a half hour or more. I’m currently using the C25K app. And loving it. I AM SO GRATEFUL TO HAVE THIS SECOND CHANCE AT A HEALTHY LIFE. God is so good to me!
After I read this chapter of the Book of Mormon, I wondered if Nephi had to remind himself that God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and love, and of a sound mind. After Nephi witnesses the complete destruction of his country’s government, thanks to the subversive Gadianton robbers, Heavenly Father calls on him to preach the gospel again. This had to be a little intimidating since the tribes were very hostile toward the , he did have that promise from Heavenly Father that whatever he (Nephi) said, would happen.
3 Nephi 7 “16 Therefore, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts and the blindness of their minds—went forth among them in that same year, and began to testify, boldly, repentance and remission of sins through faith on the Lord Jesus Christ. 17 And he did minister many things unto them; and all of them cannot be written, and a part of them would not suffice, therefore they are not written in this book. And Nephi did minister with power and with great authority. 18 And it came to pass that they were angry with him, even because he had greater power than they, for it were not possible that they could disbelieve his words, for so great was his faith on the Lord Jesus Christ that angels did minister unto him daily.” https://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/3-ne/7?verse=16-18&lang=eng#p16
