In my reading today, Alma reminds his son, Helaman, about how the only thing the Israelites had to do to recover from their plague was look at the serpent that Moses held up, but so many of them would not do such a simple thing. 

Now we are told to turn to God in our trials. All we have to do is pray. We may not get the insta-cure, but we will find the help and hope we need. Somehow I need to find better ways to shorten the time I spend between the arrival of trouble and when I turn to prayer.
