I love the prayer of Zenos so much and I think there is so much to learn from it. I’ll probably take my time getting through it.
I’ve had times in my life when I’ve felt like I was in a harsh wilderness, surrounded by antagonistic emptiness. And the wilderness continued until I turned to God and prayed for EVERYONE in the situation. That was when Heavenly Father helped change both my heart and the hearts of those around me. What a miraculous experience it is to witness God changing hearts in real time. He makes our wilderness become an oasis.
Alma 33
“3 Do ye remember to have read what Zenos, the prophet of old, has said concerning prayer or worship?
4 For he said: Thou art merciful, O God, for thou hast heard my prayer, even when I was in the wilderness; yea, thou wast merciful when I prayed concerning those who were mine enemies, and thou didst turn them to me.”
