The Dirty Dash is proof that no matter how covered you get in slimy mud, you can get clean again. You might need to work at it, but you can get clean again. I love this photo of Meigi and Mr. Hot Stuff after the race last September. She had only been home from Panama for THREE DAYS (!) and she was pretty sure she was going to freeze to death she was so cold.

People Can Change
I love this story about King Limhi and his people because it shows that a people who have gone severely astray from the Lord can repent and change the best they are able and trust the Lord to help them as they deal with the challenges that result from the consequences of their poor choices. Heavenly Father WILL help us when we remember to turn to him and repent, even if we have really messed up before that.
Mosiah 7
“And it came to pass that when they had gathered themselves together that he spake unto them in this wise, saying: O ye, my people, lift up your heads and be comforted; for behold, the time is at hand, or is not far distant, when we shall no longer be in subjection to our enemies, notwithstanding our many strugglings, which have been in vain; yet I trust there remaineth an effectual struggle to be made. 19 Therefore, lift up your heads, and rejoice, and put your trust in God, in that God who was the God of Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob; and also, that God who brought the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt, and caused that they should walk through the Red Sea on dry ground, and fed them with manna that they might not perish in the wilderness; and many more things did he do for them.” https://www.lds.org/scriptures/bofm/mosiah/7?verse=18-20&lang=eng#p18
