I love this verse in 1 Nephi 5, because Lehi speaks of God’s promises as though they had already come to pass in his life. He took God at His word and lived with matter of fact trust in Him. I know that when I do this, those are the times when it seems like Heavenly Father puts on His super-suit and says, “Stand back and watch this.” 

1  Nephi 5:5

“But behold, I have obtained a land of promise, in the which things I do rejoice; yea, and I know that the Lord will deliver my sons out of the hands of Laban, and bring them down again unto us in the wilderness.”
