Tomorrow. I. Will. Draw.
We can’t have lasting hope and faith unless we are humble. I’ve never thought a lot about this before, but looking back, my most hopeless times in life have been those times when I was angry at God, because life wasn’t moving forward based on MY plans and expectations. When I humble myself enough (it happens sometimes) to get down and pray to be able to trust Heavenly Father’s plans and timing, and to seek understanding through Him, that’s when my hope and faith are restored. Even though I still might not understand, I feel a sense of peace and confidence that I can rely on His plans for me.
(“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord , “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.” Jeremiah 29:11-12 NIV )
“40 And again, my beloved brethren, I would speak unto you concerning hope. How is it that ye can attain unto faith, save ye shall have hope? 41 And what is it that ye shall hope for? Behold I say unto you that ye shall have hope through the atonement of Christ and the power of his resurrection, to be raised unto life eternal, and this because of your faith in him according to the promise. 42 Wherefore, if a man have faith he must needs have hope; for without faith there cannot be any hope. 43 And again, behold I say unto you that he cannot have faith and hope, save he shall be meek, and lowly of heart.”
