Valiant Heart, Sore Feet

(Read and Follow the Directions)

The view of this mountain from my back porch is one of my favorite things. I love the color of the leaves on the trees in the park.

Just as an FYI for anyone who is wondering. I’m still drawing, and I will post them as I have them, but it can take several days for me to finish some of the pieces. In the meantime, I hope that you can enjoy some of my photographs. I am amazed by how this beautiful world can be so different from day to day and still move my spirit with awe at God’s marvelous creations.

Today I accidentally took our dog, Sam, on a very long walk this morning and listened to several LDS General Conference talks. My feet are sore, but my spirit was fed.

One of the things about this talk that struck me in this talk by Quentin L. Cook was a reminder that we cannot find happiness by doing wickedness, no matter how popular it may be to the rest of the world. We must keep our focus on Jesus Christ.

Elder Quentin L. Cook “Valiant in the Testimony of Jesus Christ”

If we are to be valiant in our testimony of Jesus, we must avoid the stumbling blocks that entrap and impede the progress of many otherwise honorable men and women. Let us determine to always be in His service. While seeking knowledge, we need to avoid the philosophies of men that lessen our commitment to the Savior. We must see sin in its true light and accept the Savior’s Atonement through repentance. We need to avoid looking beyond the mark and focus on Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, and follow His doctrine.
