My family has been greatly blessed these past weeks.
With Mr. Hot Stuff working hard to move a legal mountain half a world away from the rest of us, and the distress throughout the world, especially in Japan, we should be feeling an enormous amount of stress at home. Even my daughter commented on it the other day, “With all the bad news, I should be feeling really freaked out.” I had to agree. It seems that the Lord has not left us comfortless, he has sent a spirit of peace to our hearts and our home.
Helaman 5:12 And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.
We have so much to be thankful for, even in the midst of sorrow. The Lord is mindful of each one of his children. Have you seen the hand of God in your life?
