Gratitude Given Imperfectly – Day 14

I’m thankful Mom taught my brothers and I how to lead music. When I was a teenager, my mom made certain that my brothers and I learned the rudiments of leading music. We each got to take turns leading the songs we sang every week on family night. I know I didn’t appreciate this at the time but there have been so many times as an adult that I have been glad I knew how to do that. Lately at church, I’ve been called upon at the last moment to lead the singing. Sure, I mess up plenty, but it’s so much easier to go along and serve gladly because Mom gave me the foundation of that skill.

winner-winner, chicken dinner 🙂

  1. Thank you, sweetheart. Speaking of messing up, my personal hymn book has notes at the top on some songs such as, “practice conducting” followed by a diagram because it’s a tricky one. I learned that because I messed up…oops!
