This is my second try at a blog post. I had one all written and the computer refused to save it. !Qué lastima!
Unfortunately, I am running out of creative steam and can’t remember what I wrote, so this may turn out to be as organized as a banana left on a Dominican freeway. I’m going to load some photos and describe them. We’ll see how it goes, since that is nothing like the post that I lost.

There are so many beautiful flowers blooming right now, many on the tops of trees.

We had the opportunity to tour the National Palace. This is a big deal. It’s like being invited to tour the White House. It’s very difficult to get a tour of the National Palace and no small thing that this was arranged for us.

In the center photo above that is the president’s chair. Only he can sit in it. The photo to the left of the president’s chair is a picture of us sitting at the large council table. It’s made of mahogany, like the floors and nearly everything in the governing council room. The table is so big, it had to be constructed inside the room! The photo above that one is a broader view of the council room.

The top center photo is the mahogany table in the governing council room. It was so big it had to be constructed inside the room. The bottom left photo is a picture of the hall of mirrors – also known as the ballroom. Mostly it’s now used for press conferences. The bottom right photo is of a mural of the third landing of Christopher Columbus.

My words have left me, so I’ll leave you with this one last thought that I’m copying from some young missionaries here:
